Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011 02/21/2011
I am absolutely loving the color that is coming out of Fashion Week in London. The pairing of this mint-coloured blouse with a dark red skirt and a navy belt is absolutely flattering and awe-inspiring. It makes me want to go buy mint to pair with a similar skirt that I own. Fun, bright, happy fashion is finally back on the runways. I'm so glad to see some really beautiful things being done that aren't just structural. There is a real sense of joy evident in this season's clothes, and it's wearing off on me. 3 Comments Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011 02/21/2011
Burberry Prorsum is great. But I don't see why such a colorful and fun collection of amazing clothing should be brought down by this really fucking ugly hat. It's like something Britney Spears wore in the early 2000s had an inglorious offspring with a wayward mad cow. There is just nothing good about this hat, at all. Moo-ving on (sorry), I found that this piece was a much better way to incorporate both the cow-print element and the newsboy cap into the collection. This is classy, tasteful, and flattering. The other look? Udderly offal. Tory Burch Fall 2011 02/14/2011
I never really got the hype about Tory Burch. But I don't begrudge her a totally red velvet suit. Not at all. Vena Cava Fall 2011 02/14/2011
When the ladies at Vena Cava said they were going to reiterate the slouchy-90s elegance, I had hoped they didn't mean that terrible glitter gunk we used to put on our faces and around our eyes. Yikes. There are some parts of the 1990s that even I would like to forget. Carolina Herrera Fall 2011 02/14/2011
I am in love with the fabulous detail that appeared in Carolina Herrera's Fall 2011 collection. She brought the amazing 1940s styling typical of Dior and made it accessible to everywoman. The gigantic gloves were perhaps my favorite part of the collection. At first, I thought they were sleeves but a closer inspection revealed otherwise. Beyond that, Herrera showcased a number of stunning dresses in gorgeous fabric. Again, the best part of these pieces are the details. This one is held together by tiny little pins at the side. It's absolutely stunning, and the material is nothing I have ever seen before. I will have to get my hands on one of these before I die of wanting. Thakoon Fall 2011 02/14/2011
Where DKNY failed in the puffy coats, Thakoon succeeded fabulously. But my absolute favorite part of the collection was the hair. The use of knit and those patterns echoed some of the capes and ponchos seen at Suno. Although those were a little over-the-top in the bad Mexican telenovella way, I thought the use of the same elements in the hair at Thakoon was brilliant. It makes me want to grow my hair long again, just so I can do this for next fall. The Row Fall 2011 02/14/2011
I'm not a big fan of the Olsen Twins. I'd take Clifford Olson over them any day of the week. But what they did this season with The Row is killing me. I want all of it. That kind of work with fur is my dream. If Mary Kate & Ashley say this is where fashion is supposed to go, well then, damn... I am following. Derek Lam Fall 2011 02/14/2011
I couldn't concentrate on the clothes at Derek Lam. The bright lights, stick-straight hair, and bitchy looks made me fear that the models were going to jump off the runway and start a killing spree. Please don't beat me up, please. Y-3 Fall 2011 02/14/2011
It would appear that this fall will be all about the Toggle Coat. Fine. If I have to get one, let it be this one. Please. Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2011 02/14/2011
America I've given you all and now I'm nothing. America when will you be angelic? When will you take off your clothes? I'm sick of your insane demands. When can I go into the supermarket and buy what I need with my good looks? Are you being sinister or is this some form of practical joke? I'm trying to come to the point. America stop pushing I know what I'm doing. America this is quite serious. America this is the impression I get from looking in the television set. America is this correct? America I'm putting my queer shoulder to the wheel. | Kyla Lee
